United Rehabilitation Services (URS) has been serving children and adults with disabilities in the Greater Dayton area for over 56 years and now serves over 4,000 children and adults annually with a broad range of developmental disabilities and acquired disabilities. URS was originally founded as the Dayton Chapter of United Cerebral Palsy and today provides services each day to children and adults with Down syndrome, Muscular Dystrophy, Autism and many other disabilities. URS offers unique and critical services including a special needs childcare with onsite nurses as well as physical, occupational and speech therapies. In addition, URS provides vocational training, adult daycare, in-home care, respite services, and community employment. URS is committed to providing services that promote independence, community inclusion, and support for families and will continue to develop new programs to meet the demand for services for children and adults with disabilities. Since 1956, URS and has positively touched the lives of over 250,000 individuals and their family members with compassionate care.
