You code, why not them?
Kids Code Camp
The Kids of Give Camp Volunteers have an opportunity to participate in a Kid’s Code Camp!
When: Next GiveCamp (TBD)
What: We will teach your kids to code using the Code.org curriculum!
Who: Recommended ages 8-16 years old (however, we will accommodate any able and willing student!)
Where: Miami VOA Campus in a designated computer room
Why: Computer science develops students’ computational and critical thinking skills and shows them how to create, not simply use, new technologies. This fundamental knowledge is needed to prepare students for the 21st century, regardless of their ultimate field of study or occupation.
As volunteers, this is an opportunity for your kids to learn what IT is all about! This is a hands-on experience, and the kids will be learning how to code with IT professionals.
Hmmmm… want more details? Check out Code.org to learn more about the curriculum we are offering!
